What is the Monument to Monument Walk?
This year, Gary’s Gang has created our own event – walking 40 miles from the Washington Monument in Baltimore to the Washington Monument in DC (over 2 days) to show our support to Gary and so many others. This inaugural event in our 5-year plan holds meaning for us because we lived in Mt. Vernon where the Baltimore Washington Monument is when Gary was first diagnosed and conducted our very first MS Challenge Walk in DC (the Monument Tour!). Walking 40 miles in 2 days is hard, and the physical pain and emotional toll helps us all appreciate the daily struggle of those living with MS.
We’re aiming to raise $25,000 this year – before May 1st, 2021.
And this is only the first year, of a 5-year effort in which we will aim to raise another $125,000. We’re doubling down and hope you will join us, in any way possible – funding, spreading the word, helping us make the 40-mile trek or trekking and fundraising with us. We need you.
